Regal. The very poignant passage, "She let the noise of his guilt fall past her ears to the prickly pear cactus as she'd asked him for the keys" treats your lead character with respect. I have seen that kind of guilt before; your "prickly pear cactus" landing pad was the appropriate place! Such empowerment is inspiring.

I love your blog. Have read through most of your archives. I've added your link to mine. Hope you drop by sometime and say hello! :o)

Such an incredibly moving convergence of inner and outer landscapes in such a small space. Just gorgeous. I commit with my entire being in this observation: "He held the empty finger and massaged it; his expression, slightly bored but tender." And I was let out to the end of my emotional tether with "It won't be long now." Absolutely perfect. This is just explosive with rightness and the clarity of your world, woman. What a thrill to see you claiming it!

What a tasty meal Niya. Thank you that snack of words dripping down my chin. :) Yummy!
